Lecturer (tenure track) in Gender History of the Contemporary Era (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) – deadline 25 May 2023

The Faculty of Languages and Humanities, Department History, Archeology, Arts, Philosophy and Ethics, is looking for a postdoc in History for the tenure track position of lecturer in Gender History of the Contemporary Era.

The lecturer will teach the following courses: Research seminar contemporary history, History of globalization, Contemporary history section of the course Social History II: from early modern Europe to the postmodern world, Historiography, a new Introduction course on gender history, as well as a new Specialized course on gender history, related to the candidate’s own expertise.

In addition, the lecturer will also supervise and evaluate Bachelor and Master thesis in history, specifically on topics related to contemporary history and to gender history, publish peer-reviewed outputs in your domain of expertise, write and submit competitive research projects (for instance: FWO, iBOF, ERC), and participate actively in the activities of a VUB research group.
